Abhrak in Ayurveda
Ayurveda classifies Abhrak into four categories: Pinak, Naag, Manduk, and Vajra. It is further classified into four categories based on colour: Yellow, White, Red, and Black. In Ayurveda, abhrak or Black Mica is utilised in the form of bhasma, which is a fine powder. Due to its capacity to raise sperm count and aphrodisiac properties, it is commonly used to treat male sexual disorders such as low sperm count and lack of sexual desire. Due to its blood glucose lowering (hypoglycemic) effect, abhrak bhasma may be beneficial to diabetics. Abhrak bhasma with guduchi satva or turmeric juice is recommended by Ayurveda to promote metabolism and regulate blood sugar levels due to its Deepan (appetiser), Pachan (drink) (digestive) and Rasayana properties.

Here are some of the top health benefits of Abhrak:
Prevents Intestinal Problems:
Abhrak bhasma’s anti-inflammatory and purgative effects aggressively inhibit the dangerous bacterium Helicobacter pylori, preventing it from developing in the stomach. It efficiently avoids constipation and piles by softening the stool and promoting smooth flow through the body due to its powerful laxative nature and peristaltic actions. The mineral formulation aids in the breakdown of food particles in the stomach and intestine, encourages the secretion of digestive fluids, and so increases the absorption of critical nutrients via the intestines, due to its potent digestive qualities. It not only aids in the elimination of abdominal gas while lowering abdominal distension, bloating, and gaseous cramps, but it also plays an important role in the treatment of a variety of gastrointestinal problems such as indigestion, ulcerative colitis, GERD, acidity, and heartburn.
Improves Fertility and libido:
Abhrak Bhasma is an age-old treatment for increasing libido and promoting fertility in both men and women. The powder has strong spermatogenic qualities that can help with teratospermia (abnormal sperm shape), oligospermia (low sperm count), hypospermia (low volume of sperm), and asthenozoospermia (sperm motility), as well as spermatogenesis (i.e. sperm production). It promotes the synthesis of male hormones such as testosterone and luteinizing hormone since it is a natural antioxidant. It also aids in the increase of virility and stamina in males, as well as the treatment of erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. Prescribed ingestion in women maintains hormonal levels in the blood, strengthens female reproductive organs, and speeds up the development of eggs into follicles. It also aids in the treatment of infertility in women, as well as postpartum depression and menopausal symptoms.
